Summary : Good news begs to be shared. Christians have the responsibility and the privilege of passing on the good news that through faith in Jesus Christ, eternal and abundant life is offered to all people. And yet why are we so often reluctant to share? Why, even when we sometimes feel a strong sense of "oughtness" about being a witness to Jesus Christ, do we fail to do it? Leighton Ford identifies and offers biblical solutions to overcome our hesitancy: + Fear of how people will react + Not knowing how to communicate or what to say + The belief that evangelism or being a witness is "just not my gift" + A distorted view of what evangelism involves Leighton Ford believes in evangelism. It is his mission in life to share the Good News of Jesus Christ. He also knows that the style of our evangelism as well as the message must be good news. This book offers the hows, whens, and wheres of responsible and natural faith-sharing. It's a guide to evangelism that works. Good News Is for Sharing informs, equips, motivates, and encourages a natural, human, and personal way to share the Good News of Jesus Christ to help make friends for God.

Summary : The Gospel means good news, but what makes it news? If the message has been around for 2,000 years, what could possibly be newsworthy about it? And what makes it good? Surely not the stories we hear of damnation, violence, and an angry God. Tom Wright believes many Christians have lost sight of what the ‘good news’ of the gospel really is. In Simply Good News, he shows how a first-century audience would have received the gospel message, what the ‘good news’ means for us today and how it can transform our lives.

Summary : I began writing this book about ten years ago. I was sending the message across the country in a simple magazine. I was a Sunday School teacher and love crazy for the Word of God. Fasting and praying to God about writing this book show Him many tears. My tears were of concern that what I put into this book was of Him and Him alone. God guided me every step of the way. God is the purpose of the Good News. Is man judged by the Good News of the Lord? How are we accepting the Good News through traditions, faithfulness, and obedience? Is accepting the Good News the result of our salvation? Many times, the question, "What is the Good News?" has been asked. Well, only believers can answer that question, which is the beginning of the gospel of Jesus Christ, the Son of God. Knowing Him makes believers want to know more about how the Good News is performing in our lives. Believers let others know with our testimony how the Good News of Jesus Christ brought us through life's battles, helping us discover our destiny, how we as believers enjoy working for the Lord in His field after accepting His great invitation. We are the lamps, and Jesus is the oil who fills us up. The Father and Son are one; when help is needed, they come together. The Father and Son are constantly paying us with spiritual income and being loyal to God--who is the Creator, King, and Master--makes us royalty. Don't forget if we mess up, we do have a jealous God with much love. The Good News is Jesus offers us the gift of salvation, and it's free to share the gospel with all. I remember asking God this question who was His mother and father I was only seven years old. Living in New York on a street that was basically all black people living there as a kid life was simple, Me and my sibling knew nothing or very little about racism. Our parent was from Florida and said very little about the way of live in the 40"s and 50"s. I would ask question and I remember my dad telling me about the KKK walking down the streets in white sheets and all the black's could do was run or stand way back. We move from the city to the country where we went to a predomantly white school my life changed and I learned much and I fell, but got back up. Living on the farm was a way to interact with my sister and brother all we had was each other I grew up got a job met the Lord and now live is good.

Summary : We know the stars, and have tamed most species that have crossed our paths; we've roamed the world over and travelled to Space; we've mastered industrialisation then created technology that our grandparents couldn't have dreamt of. So, what's next? In this follow up to How to Be Human, Ruby Wax builds on her exploration on forgiveness to demonstrate that the next great barrier to progress is compassion. The Future with Love teaches us essential tools for making the most out of the relationships in our loves and protect our hearts and mind amidst the madness of hashtags and 24-hour news cycles. Introducing a new mindfulness practice (tuning into the body), Wax creates a call to arms to living more intuitive lives. Drawing on how education, businesses, technology can use kindness to reform - and better - themselves as well as the purpose of kindness, this book will investigate why greater compassion is our one-way ticket to a better future.

Summary : I want to share some Good News with you. The Good News is that Love is alive and well in the world. As the song says, Love is the Answer to all of the hurts, sickness, anxiety and anger in the world. Love is available to all people. Love soothes our hurts, helps to heal our sickness, and eases our anxiety. Love comforts the grieving, reduces anger, and offers hope for the future. People are hard-wired to crave love, and to respond to love by loving others. We know love is real because we have experienced it ourselves, we observe that love causes people to change their behavior, and we read about or talk to people that are in love. The Good News is that there is a higher form of Love than human love. God loves you and wants a close relationship with you. John, a follower of Jesus, said God is Love (1 John 4:8). John also said, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God(1 John 4:7). If God is Love, then knowing Love means that we also know God. If we believe that Love is real, if we love others and accept Johns testimony, then God is also real and has the qualities of Love that we have experienced. Love is always available, faithful, caring and true. Gods Love can bring something good out of bad situations, provide hope, and give us the strength to live through the situations. Jesus talked about and demonstrated Gods Love for all people. Jesus was the Son of God, which meant that he came from God and lived his life perfectly, as God wanted him to live it. He showed a new relationship with God, a relationship of Love, service, forgiveness and reconciliation. Jesus provides Love, hope, and strength that helps each person live a better life on earth, and an eternal life to come.

Summary : Many argue that Christians must address their own culpability in the destruction of Europe's Jewry. If post-Holocaust Christians only lament Christianity's sin the tradition will be ultimately left with little to say and no credibility. Post-Holocaust Christians must emphasize positive differences that Christianity can make, including: -- Repentant honesty about Christianity's anti-Jewish history -- New appreciation for the Jewish origins of Christianity, the Jewish identity of Jesus, and the continuing vitality of the Jewish people and their traditions -- Welcome liberation from liturgies and biblical interpretations that promote harmful Christian exclusivism

Summary : In Good News, Bad News , Jeremy Iggers argues that journalism's institutionalized conversation about ethics largely evades the most important issues regarding the public interest and the civic responsibilities of the press. Changes in the ownership and organization of the news media make these issues especially timely; although journalism's ethics rest on the idea of journalism as a profession, the rise of market-driven journalism has undermined journalists' professional status. Ultimately, argues Iggers, journalism is impossible without a public that cares about the common life. Written in an accessible style, Good News, Bad News is important reading for journalists, communication scholars, and students. }Public dissatisfaction with the news media frequently gives rise to calls for journalists to live up to the ethical standards of their profession.
